Project Details
Büyük Çamlıca Mosque, a historical value that will be inherited for generations, is one of the most important places of worship in the city, built on the Anatolian side overlooking the Bosphorus.
It serves as a complex that includes social, cultural and educational spaces as well as places of worship. Located on a 57,500 m² lot, the mosque occupies approximately 15 thousand m2 of the site. The main dome of the mosque is 34 meters in diameter and 72.00 meters high. Four of the six minarets in the work are 107.10 meters high, while the other two minarets are in the courtyard and 90 meters high. The mosque and courtyard can accommodate 63,000 people at the same time.
Büyük Çamlıca Mosque, where the Ottoman-Seljuk architectural style and today's lines are integrated, is one of the new symbols of the city. With its architectural details and ornamentation program, it is a complete synthesis of the ancient and today's technology. Büyük Çamlıca Mosque, which includes a museum, art gallery, library, conference hall, art workshop and parking lot in addition to the mosque, is a complex that fully meets the social needs of our age.
This work, which spiritually connects Anatolia and Europe, greets those passing through the Bosphorus and will beautify the silhouette of the city, has taken its place among the important structures of Turkish-Islamic history.
