Cami, medrese, tekke, t\u00fcrbe, hazire, s\u0131byan mektebi, sebil, \u00e7ar\u015f\u0131 ve hamamdan olu\u015fan bir k\u00fclliye olarak in\u015fa edilmi\u015f, ancak g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fcze sadece cami ve t\u00fcrbe ula\u015fm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
30,5×19,5 metre boyutlar\u0131nda dikd\u00f6rtgen planl\u0131 cami, iki b\u00fcy\u00fck granit s\u00fctun ve kemerler \u00fczerinde, dokuzar metre \u00e7ap\u0131nda alt\u0131 kubbe ile \u00f6rt\u00fcl\u00fcd\u00fcr. Alt\u0131 kubbesiyle Anadolu\u2019daki Osmanl\u0131 \u00f6ncesi Ulucami kategorisine girse de Piyale Pa\u015fa Camii, Sinan\u2019\u0131n yeni tekni\u011fi ile son derece geli\u015ftirilmi\u015f ve inceltilmi\u015f bir \u00f6rnek oldu\u011fu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmektedir. Mermer minberli camide, klasik d\u00f6nemin nadir \u00e7ini mihraplar\u0131ndan biri mevcuttur. Kubbeleri, kemerleri, giri\u015f revak\u0131yla d\u00f6nemin mimari geleneklerine uymayan caminin tek minaresi, giri\u015fin tam \u00fcst\u00fcnde yer al\u0131r ve tek \u015ferefelidir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Cami zaman i\u00e7inde etraf\u0131ndaki yo\u011fun yap\u0131la\u015fma, ihmaller, yang\u0131n ve deprem gibi do\u011fal afetler sonucunda olduk\u00e7a y\u0131pranm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Restorasyon \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 kapsam\u0131nda, eserin b\u00fcnyesindeki t\u00fcm \u00e7imentolu derz ve s\u0131valar raspa edilmi\u015f, \u00f6zg\u00fcn kalem i\u015flerine ula\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015f ve korunmu\u015ftur. \u00dcst \u00f6rt\u00fcdeki \u015fap tabakalar\u0131n\u0131n kald\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 ile \u00f6zg\u00fcn kubbe silmeleri ortaya \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.
